Oceania Cruises: an innovative mixology program

Oceania Cruises is innovating and diversifying its offerings by introducing an innovative mixology program aboard Vista that will debut on May 20, 2023.

Vista, the first of the all-new Allura Class ships, will showcase the latest cocktail trends and techniques such as flavored smoke bubbles, a wide selection of low/sugar-free wines and zero cocktails, as well as experiential beverage offerings.

“At Oceania Cruises, we continually strive to raise the bar on every aspect of our luxury cruise experience, with food and beverage at the top of the list,” said Howard Sherman, president and CEO of Oceania Cruises. “Because Vista will present a fresh perspective on the best cuisine at sea with an extraordinary range of culinary options from the casual to the extravagant, it was appropriate to build a bar program to match.”

Highlights of Vista‘s bar program will be experiential drink offerings, including specialty drink carts such as The Bubbly Bar, which will serve exclusive Champagne cocktails, and The Ultimate Bloody Mary Bar, the perfect accompaniment to brunch.

Guests will also savor The Casino Mixology Bar, a new concept focused entirely on the art of cocktails with Negronis served straight from the barrel and fantastic “Flavor Blaster Gun” cocktails that are topped with vapor bubbles with aromatic flavors. Martinis, Oceania Cruises’ signature bar, is refreshing its namesake cocktail with a new liquor selection of Mermaid Gin and Vodka, plus the new martini menu features a collection that pays homage to some of Hollywood’s biggest names. And finally Baristas, the perfect place for a delicious coffee, will introduce a new drink menu with innovative cocktails incorporating Amari, an Italian herbal liqueur, as well as ready-to-drink Italian selections such as Crodino, San Pellegrino cocktails and Campari sodas.

The new beverage concepts also will complement The Finest Cuisine at Sea program. The Aquamar Kitchen, a new concept aboard Vista serving lean and healthy cuisine, will focus its beverage selection on low- and no-alcohol options. Ember will present a culinary menu of inventive American creations, where guests will find unique wines, craft beers, rye and bourbon, and themed cocktails. Red Ginger, Oceania Cruises‘ Pan-Asian venue extraordinaire, will present a focused menu of drinks to complement its acclaimed dishes including Asian beers, a variety of sake styles, and cocktails celebrating Asian flavors such as ginger, turmeric, coriander, and lychee.

Finally, with the launch of Vista, new pairing experiences with important partnerships will debut. Moët Chandon Champagne Experience, a delicious three-course pairing with 3 rare vintages of Moët & Chandon. Connoisseur Wine Pairing Lunches, will present two journeys to choose from, the menus include five different Mediterranean-influenced dishes paired with a premium range of wines. Dom Pérignon Experience, a unique Oceania Cruises experience from 2019, will be showcased on Vista as part of the intimate Privée restaurant. Each of the three Champagne vintages will be paired with two courses that are specifically crafted to bring out the nuances of the grape and the relationship of the blend, playing up every aspect from the subtle, effervescent nose to the lively, satisfying finish.
