Excellent Hospitality and Dining on Explora III

The first thing we noticed on board EXPLORA III was the warm welcome. From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and helpful, providing attentive service without ever being excessive. We especially appreciated the feeling of being looked after discreetly: despite the size of the ship, the atmosphere remained calm and personal. Dining was also an important part of the experience. We found the overall quality very good, both in the choice of ingredients and in the preparation of the dishes. Having several restaurants and different cuisines to choose from made every meal feel different, without the sense of repetition that can sometimes be found on cruise ships. We also appreciated the careful presentation and the table service, which was always precise and professional.

An Unforgettable Greenland Adventure

Our expedition aboard the Ocean Albatros in Disko Bay was a truly special experience. Sailing among Arctic landscapes, towering icebergs, and the remote coast of Greenland made every day different and fascinating. The ship was comfortable and well suited to this type of expedition, with a relaxed atmosphere and attentive organization. We also really enjoyed the activities offered, which allowed us to experience the destination up close and appreciate the surrounding nature even more. Overall, it was an unforgettable expedition, perfect for anyone looking for something different from a traditional cruise and wanting to discover Greenland in a more authentic and immersive way.

A Great Introduction to Silversea

I chose Silver Spirit because I wanted to try Silversea, and I have to say my first impression was very positive. What I appreciated most was the way the onboard experience is handled: very little formality, attentive staff, and above all the butler service, which really made a difference for me. The suite was spacious and comfortable, and I could immediately notice a higher level of service compared with other cruises I had taken before. The dining experience left me with more mixed feelings. Some dinners were truly excellent, with a good choice of restaurants and well-prepared dishes, while on other occasions I expected a little more considering the level of the cruise line. I particularly enjoyed being able to change the atmosphere and cuisine throughout the trip. The table service was also generally very good.

Carnival Venezia: From Manhattan to the Caribbean

In October, New York smells like cool river air, peppery street food, and a faint note of hurry. On the way to the cruise terminal, rolling suitcases clatter over asphalt, taxi horns slice through the pickup-lane chorus – and above it all hangs the particular anticipation only embarkation day in Manhattan can generate. It’s not […]

MSC Preziosa: a ship with a remarkable history

How many things have already been seen: cruise ships that, in their first life, carried containers, or ferries that transported not only passengers but also vehicles. In the second half of the 20th century, many cruise ships still came from ocean liner service and were given a second life as pleasure vessels. There have also […]

Queen Mary 2: Revisiting An Old Friend

Returning to Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 after a few years absence feels like coming home. I’ve sailed on this grand lady around fifteen times and honestly it never gets old. She is one of a kind and truly the last ocean liner plying the seven seas today. Built in France and launched in 2004 to […]

Allure OTS: a successful but measured modernization

When Royal Caribbean announced the modernization of Allure of the Seas, many expected a dramatic transformation. Expectations were high, especially given the prestige of the Oasis Class and the ship’s reputation, having won over a large community of enthusiasts since its debut. After visiting the ship both before and after the refurbishment, the conclusion is […]
