Silver Moon sets sail with its culinary arts program

“Extraordinary times call for extraordinary measures”.  In its return to cruising, this quote could not be more appropriate than the Herculean effort put forth by Silversea cruises.

In the blink of an eye, Silversea pivoted from its previously announced sailings and created two magnificent itineraries. Sailing from Athens, these 10-day voyages start on June 18th, 2021.  The first of these visits feature the Aegean Islands at their sun-kissed best. The good life is sampled in Syros, Mykonos, Paros, Patmos and Rhodes and Limassol, Cyprus.

On June 28th, Silver Moon’s second 10-day itinerary offers a blend of history and tradition not to mention those sun-kissed beaches. A visit to Limassol precedes a day in Rhodes, one in Katapola, two ports in Crete, a visit to Nafplion and a final day in Santorini cap this Aegean exploration.  Combine the two voyages for 20 days of spectacular Greek Island adventures and a 5 percent discount. All told there are nine Silver Moon voyages in June, July, August, and September.

Silver Moon is a destination all by itself.

Carrying just 596 privileged passengers, Silver Moon is pure luxury at sea.  There’s plenty of space for every imaginable pleasure. And yet the small-ship intimacy that is the draw for Silversea’s many repeat guests is on board as well.  There’s an almost 1 to 1 crew to guest ratio. Personal butlers service every one of Silver Moon’s suites, the vast majority of which have private balconies, enormous closets, and luxurious baths. Silversea is truly all-inclusive. There’s never a charge for a single drink, caviar is on available on-demand, Wi-Fi service is unlimited, even the gratuities are included.

All voyages include Round-trip Economy Class flights.  Business Class air is available or credits if passengers make their own travel arrangements to get to the ship. At every port, there’s an included shore excursion. And for passengers who wish to experience the ship’s destination in privacy, customized shore excursions are available at an extra charge.  Finally, there are the extraordinary range of dining options—8 in all.  But none is more anticipated than the lauded S.A.L.T. Culinary Program.

S. A. L. T. stands for SEA AND LAND TASTE

Imagine a cruise ship with virtually an entire deck devoted to the Culinary Arts. That is precisely what you will find aboard Silver Moon. Food is at the heart of every culture on earth. Silversea celebrates that by creating a Culinary program that allows its passengers to experience the world through food, drinks, and traditions.  And it’s not at arm’s length. Instead, under the auspices of Adam Sachs, a James Beard Award-Winning Food Authority and Writer, Silversea invites its guests to hands-on culinary experiences. While on land, curated shore excursions immerse her passengers in the cuisine and culture of its destinations.

On board, S.A.L.T. gives guests an understanding of regional ingredients through tastings and workshops held by local chefs and experts at sea.  In S.A.L.T. Kitchen these traditions, recipes and flavors are enjoyed in unforgettable dining experiences.  In S.A.L.T. Bar locally inspired drinks are on offer made with only the finest of local ingredients.  For the truly culinary-minded, S.A.L.T. Lab features cooking demonstrations with local guest chefs that immerse guests in how food is prepared and enjoyed in whatever region Silver Moon is sailing.
