Norwegian Aqua: A new season of caribbean cruises
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has celebrated the arrival of Norwegian Aqua at the Port of Miami, officially marking the start of her inaugural Caribbean cruise season.
After a successful first season dedicated to Bermuda sailings from New York, Norwegian Aqua will now be homeported in Florida, offering seven-day itineraries to the most iconic destinations in the Caribbean and the Bahamas. Among the highlights is the company’s famous private island, Great Stirrup Cay, a tropical oasis that will be further enhanced by the end of 2025 with a new pier, a large heated pool complete with swim-up bars, and a fun-filled water play area for children.

Designed to deliver a contemporary and dynamic cruising experience, Norwegian Aqua features a refreshed design and a 10% increase in capacity compared to her sister ships, Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva. On board, guests can enjoy thrilling attractions such as the Aqua Slidecoaster, the world’s first hybrid of a rollercoaster and waterslide, spanning three decks and offering two completely different routes. Other innovations include the Glow Court, a digital sports arena with an LED floor that transforms into a lively nightclub at night, and the Aqua Game Zone, an interactive arcade where classic fun meets modern technology with virtual reality experiences and nostalgic favorites like Ms. Pac-Man and Mario Bros.
For those seeking tranquility, Norwegian Aqua offers dedicated spaces for relaxation, such as the Vibe Beach Club, an adults-only retreat, and the Mandara Spa and Salon, a haven of rejuvenation featuring saunas, exclusive treatments, and serene lounge areas. The culinary experience on board lives up to NCL’s reputation, with 17 restaurants and 18 bars and lounges offering everything from international cuisine to handcrafted cocktails. Entertainment is equally impressive, with original productions such as Revolution: A Celebration of Prince, honoring the legendary artist, and Elements: The World Expanded, a visually stunning show that combines acrobatics, magic, and natural inspiration from the four elements.
NCL’s “Free at Sea” all-inclusive packages enhance the experience even further, offering premium open bars, specialty dining and excursion credits, high-speed Wi-Fi, and exclusive perks such as free airfare for the second guest and complimentary cruises for children on select departures.
