Oceania Cruises reveals exotic explorations in Asia


Oceania Cruises, the world’s leading cuisine- and destination-focused cruise line, has announced that the Riviera will sail to Asia for the first time to explore some of the world’s most breathtaking places, putting cultural immersion and culinary excellence at the heart of the travel experience.

Riviera will sail, along with its 1,238 passengers, through Arabia, India, Myanmar, Vietnam, China, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and the Philippines. In addition, Regatta and Nautica will go exploring in the exotic South Pacific, visiting such coveted destinations as New Zealand, Australia and French Polynesia. The new cruises have 121 itineraries available for booking on Riviera, Regatta, Insignia and Nautica, solidifying Oceania Cruises‘ position as the leading cuisine- and destination-oriented cruise line sailing in Asia. Riviera’s Asia cruises bring wonderful cultural encounters, ancient treasures and more. From the Great Wall and Grand Palace in Bangkok to the ethereal seascape of Ha Long Bay and the temples and gardens of Kyoto. The futuristic neon-animated streets of Hong Kong and Tokyo beckon, along with pagodas and holy temples, highlighting the Far East’s intriguing blend of ancient and modern. Guests will also have the chance to explore once forbidding corners of Asia, such as Yangon and other off-the-beaten-path places like Japan’s remote Ishigaki Island and Hue, an ancient imperial city located on Vietnam’s Perfume River. The 12-day round trip to the Land of the Rising Sun from Tokyo offers an intriguing exploration of Japan aboard the Riviera in March and April 2024. Ports of call include Kagoshima, Nagasaki, Beppu, Hiroshima, and an overnight stay in Kyoto (Kōbe).

The extensive 72-day Epic Eastern Explorer itinerary, aboard Riviera, departing in early January 2024, from Mumbai, India, to Tokyo, Japan. It includes overnight stops in Male, Maldives; Colombo, Sri Lanka; Singapore, Singapore; Hanoi (Ha Long Bay), Vietnam; Shanghai, China; Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam; Seoul, South Korea; Kyoto (Kobe) and Tokyo, Japan; plus two-night stays in Yangon, Myanmar; Bangkok, Thailand; and Hong Kong, China. Other trip highlights include Manila, Philippines; Hue and Nha Trang in Vietnam; Phuket, Thailand; and Penang and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.

Aboard Nautica, departing in late December 2023, there will be 34 days in the beautiful islands, from Singapore to Papeete, Tahiti. The itinerary includes an overnight stopover in Bali, Indonesia; and Bora Bora, French Polynesia plus additional visits to Papeete, Tahiti, French Polynesia; Darwin and Cairns, Australia; Suva, Fiji; and a three-day Coral Sea cruise.

The 14-day Empires of Asia voyage, aboard the Regatta, will sail from Tokyo, Japan, to Hong Kong, China, in late October 2023. Highlights of the itinerary include overnight stops in Kyoto (Kobe), Japan; Shanghai and Hong Kong, China; plus visits to Taipei and Kaohsiung, Taiwan; and Japanese ports including Kagoshima and Hiroshima.
