Description

Rivages du Monde was founded in 2001 by two cruise professionals passionate about Russian history and civilization. Very quickly, the idea emerged to offer river cruises in Russia that connect the two capitals, Moscow and St. Petersburg, to the French market. In 2003, Rivages du Monde recorded more than 10,000 passengers and became the provider for major French tour operators: Nouvelles Frontières, Jet Tours, Kuoni. During the winter of 2004, Rivages du Monde inaugurated the first cruises on the Mekong River between Saigon and the temples of Angkor. After great success, in the same year, Rivages du Monde launched its first sea cruise and offered a unique product in the Adriatic along the Croatian coast. In 2008, Rivages du Monde acquired Mondotours, a well-known tour operator in the Russian cruise market. In 2010, it took over Athenaeum, a specialist in luxury cultural and river cruises. Finally, in 2018, it established itself in Belgium and merged its activities with the tour operator All-Ways, recognized in Belgium for its expertise in cultural river and maritime cruises. Gradually adapting to market demand, Rivages du Monde positions itself in the niche of high-end, culturally oriented, and exclusively Francophone cruises, systematically managing small units ranging from 30 to a maximum of 180 passengers.
