Description
Akademik Sergey Vavilov was built in 1988 as a research vessel for the Russian Academy of Sciences. After the collapse of the USSR, the ship was registered to the Shirshov Oceanological Institute in Kaliningrad in 1993 and has since been chartered to various expedition cruise providers.
It was commercialised among others under the name Peregrine Voyager (Peregrine Adventures). From 2011 to 2019, it sailed under the flag of the Canadian shipping company One Ocean Expeditions and was commercialised as One Ocean Voyager.
