Description
Akademik Ioffe was built in 1989 as a research vessel for the Russian Academy of Sciences. After the collapse of the USSR, the ship was registered for the Shirshov Oceanological Institute in Kaliningrad in 1993 and has since been chartered to various expedition cruise providers.
It has been commercialised under the names Peregrine Mariner (Peregrine Adventures) and Marine Adventurer (Marine Expeditions), among others. From 2011 to 2019 it sailed under the banner of the Canadian shipping company One Ocean Expeditions and was commercialised as One Ocean Navigator.
