Atlas Ocean Voyages: Wedding in Antarctica

Atlas Ocean Voyages celebrated the first official wedding in Antarctica last February, the month of love.

The bride and groom exchanged vows on Danko Island during a 15-minute ceremony, officiated by Marriage Officer Bryan Clark. During World Navigator‘s current nine-night expedition to Antarctica, which began February 14, Atlas Ocean Voyages performed four weddings and three vow renewals in four days.

“We are happy to celebrate the very first official weddings in Antarctica, not just ceremonial as often happens”, said Alberto Aliberti, President of Atlas Ocean Voyages. “Atlas Ocean Voyages is proud to offer luxury adventures in remote and captivating destinations and Happy Ever Atlas is perhaps the most adventurous wedding experience to date. We are delighted to make this wedding experience truly unique for our guests. ”

World Navigator hosted a wedding reception throughout the ship, as well as organizing separate bachelor and bachelorette parties, to create a unique, comprehensive and unforgettable wedding exchange.

World Navigator will sail the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Iceland, Greenland and the Arctic in summer 2022; Central and South America in autumn; to then return to Antarctica for its 2022-23 winter season. Atlas’ second ship, World Traveler, will launch in November 2022, with three more sister ships, World Seeker, World Adventurer and World Discoverer, joining the fleet until 2024.
