Spirit of Ponant: the new unit of Ponant

On April 5th, Ponant welcomed a new ship into its fleet, the Spirit of Ponant. This time, it’s a 24-meter maxi-catamaran with a capacity of 6 cabins, accommodating 12 passengers and 4 crew members.

The Spirit of Ponant will offer a unique sailing experience, combining the pleasure of sailing, the elegance of a Ponant cruise, personalized service, unique destinations, and a privileged relationship with the crew. In short, a new travel format in the world of luxury cruises!

Hervé Gastinel, CEO of Ponant, stated: “Our guests will truly discover what it means to be sailors, thanks in particular to the interaction with the captain who will create a journey that meets the guests’ expectations. Passengers will enjoy views in hidden destinations in magical places, while also indulging in the luxury and high-quality service that has made Ponant famous.”

With this new catamaran, Ponant adds another feather to its cap of luxurious offerings in exclusive settings. It’s a bold and innovative initiative that confirms the company’s commitment to a more “eco-sustainable” tourism and its historical connection to sailing.

Built in France, the Spirit of Ponant promises: “an immersive experience sailing to some of the world’s most beautiful islands. The maxi-catamaran will be launched in June 2024, spending the summer in Corsica, France, before heading to the Seychelles in winter 2025,” says skipper Guillaume Le Brec, project manager at Ponant, adding, “the concept and design of this Lagoon Seventy 7 type yacht have been acclaimed by all industry experts, impressed by the very spacious interior and exterior areas, guests will appreciate both the high-end finishes and its exceptional sailing qualities!”
