SILVERSEA: Silver Muse and the New Spaces

Silversea has completed the refurbishment of Silver Muse, marking the ship’s first major dry dock since 2017, with redesigned spaces and the addition of the award-winning S.A.L.T. (Sea And Land Taste) culinary program.

The new hallmark S.A.L.T. culinary concept, which guests will experience in the S.A.L.T. Kitchen and S.A.L.T. Bar, newly redesigned public areas, and additional suite options represent the key highlights of the entire project.

Following the extensive dry dock in Palermo, Silver Muse set sail again in late December on a 14-night cruise from Barcelona to Lisbon, sailing through the Mediterranean. Guests who chose this voyage were the first to experience the new enhancements on board. Interiors and public spaces have been renewed, including a new pickleball court, a putting green, and a simulator, introduced on this ship for the first time along with the opportunity to relax on an elegant pool deck featuring refreshed furnishings.

A new range of suites, the Medallion Suites, offers the perfect balance of space, comfort, and premium amenities, from the private veranda to the luxurious bathroom with double vanity, bathtub, and separate shower, as well as a sleeping area featuring a king-size bed.

Bert Hernandez, President of Silversea, highlighted the company’s deep commitment to delivering ever more exceptional experiences at sea through the extensive transformation of Silver Muse. What guests value most, he noted, is the intimacy, elegance, and culinary immersion that increasingly define Silversea, especially with the introduction of the acclaimed S.A.L.T. program.

Another notable highlight is the culinary journey introduced with S.A.L.T. Kitchen & Bar, where guests can enjoy destination-inspired menus and regional craft cocktails, fully immersing themselves in the flavors of the regions visited. The culinary offering, available on selected ships, also includes the Italian-inspired aperitivo Dolce Vita and new signature cocktails such as the bold Cerberus Negroni (crafted with gin, Pedro Ximénez–infused Campari, and butter- and sage-infused vermouth). Refined pastries and Ronnefeldt tea selections take center stage in the tranquil Arts Café. La Terrazza Restaurant has added tableside Martinis, new exclusive cocktails, and enhanced non-alcoholic options, while The Grill has expanded its selection of classic poolside favorites. To complete the experience, an upgraded in-suite dining program features a refreshed dinner menu with guest favorites, available throughout the day and served by dedicated butlers.

Silversea is a benchmark in the luxury travel sector, offering personalized service and an innovative culinary offering aboard its 12 intimate ocean-going ships. The company is not stopping there and, by the end of the year, is planning major enhancements to Silver Spirit, including expanded public spaces, revitalized interiors, and new dining concepts such as S.A.L.T. Kitchen and S.A.L.T. Bar. Drawing inspiration from the elegant design of Silver Muse, the renewed Silver Spirit will feature a more spacious and contemporary atmosphere, while preserving Silversea’s hallmark: personalized service and all-inclusive comfort.
