Fincantieri: New Ship for Regent Seven Seas Cruises
Fincantieri strengthens its long-standing collaboration with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. by announcing a new order for the construction of an ultra-luxury cruise ship for the Regent Seven Seas Cruises brand.
The project, subject to financing and the customary conditions for this type of contract, represents a further step in the expansion of Regent’s fleet and confirms Fincantieri’s leadership in the construction of state-of-the-art vessels.

The new vessel, scheduled for delivery in 2033, will be a sister ship to “Seven Seas Prestige“, the first ship of the new Prestige Class, expected in 2026. A second unit of the same class is already planned for 2030, further strengthening the strategic renewal of Regent’s luxury fleet.
With a gross tonnage of 77,000 tons and a length of 257 meters, the new ship will accommodate up to 822 guests, ensuring one of the highest space-to-guest ratios in the industry. The project combines elegance, comfort, and refinement with the most advanced environmental technologies, reaffirming Fincantieri’s commitment to sustainable innovation and attention to detail—hallmarks of the ultra-luxury segment.
The partnership between Fincantieri and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. continues to be one of the strongest and most enduring in the cruise industry. The Italian Group has already built ten ships for NCLH’s various brands and, with a current order book that includes thirteen new vessels, will continue to support the company’s global growth. These new builds involve all of the Group’s brands—Norwegian Cruise Line, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and Oceania Cruises—consolidating a collaboration based on continuity, strategic vision, and the ability to adapt to the needs of an ever-evolving market.
Pierroberto Folgiero, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Fincantieri, подчеркнул that the expansion of the strategic collaboration with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd., strengthened over time through numerous successful orders, confirms the solidity of the relationship between the two companies and Fincantieri’s role as a partner of choice in the ultra-luxury segment represented by Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Folgiero highlighted that the new order is a testament to the shipowner’s trust in the shipyard’s ability to design and build innovative, sustainable vessels crafted with the highest level of artisanal care, in line with the evolution of the luxury cruise market. He also noted that, in the face of new challenges and opportunities within the industry, Fincantieri will continue to support its clients in the future development of cruising on a global scale.
