Description

Tauck River Cruises offers cruisers a luxury all-inclusive experience on European rivers. River cruises with Tauck originated from Tauck Travel, which also provides land tours worldwide. On board, guests will find a cruise director and three Tauck guides, as well as special events held ashore in the evenings. The company has nine river vessels, owned and operated by Scylla, a Swiss-owned company. Most new river cruise ships in Europe measure 135 meters and carry nearly 190 passengers. However, Tauck's four new Inspiration class ships carry 130 passengers, the lowest number for a ship of its size. Tauck River Cruises sail on the major European rivers: the Rhine, Main, Danube, Rhone, Seine, and Moselle. Tauck fares include everything a passenger needs, all beverages including wine, beer, and spirits, shore excursions (at least one shore excursion per day), alternative dining options, bicycles to use during port stops, free Wi-Fi, airport transfers, and gratuities. The ships are rather sophisticated and elegant, and carrying fewer passengers provides a more relaxed atmosphere where lounges and restaurants are less crowded, the cruise director is more available, and shore excursions have smaller groups.
