Saudade

The MS Saudade is a newly built river cruise ship in the Tauck fleet, designed to sail along Portugal’s Douro River, through terraced vineyards, historic villages and landscapes recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The ship measures 80 metres in length and accommodates up to 84 passengers, offering an intimate atmosphere and personalised service. Accommodation includes 12 spacious Tauck Suites of approximately 28 m² and cabins in various categories, some featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with French balconies. The interiors showcase Portuguese craftsmanship, with bespoke furnishings and lighting and decorations inspired by the country’s traditional decorative tiles. On board, facilities include the main restaurant, Compass Rose, the alternative dining venue Arthur’s, lounges and a small swimming pool on the sun deck. The experience is complemented by wine tastings at historic quintas, excursions to historic town centres and insights into the culinary and cultural traditions of the Douro Valley.
