Silversea and the marvels of the Galapagos Islands

Silversea Cruises announced today its highly anticipated return to the Galapagos Islands aboard the Silver Origin, with the inaugural departure set for June 19. The ultra-luxury company will offer its guests brand new itineraries with new destinations and unique and unprecedented experiences.

The protagonists of the restart of sailing for Silversea Cruises will be the two most recent ships of the fleet: Silver Origin and Silver Moon. As previously announced, all guests and crew members must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 before coming on board.

“We offer our sincere gratitude to the Ecuadorian Government and the Galapagos Government Council for their continued cooperation and helpfulness. After a long break period, our guests are eager to continue their discovery around the world and there are very few destinations that offer the spectacular beauty like that offered by the Galapagos Islands,” said Roberto Martinoli, President and CEO of Silversea Cruises.

“These two new itineraries have been carefully designed by our destination experts to optimize the cruise experience in this exceptional part of the world, giving guests more opportunities to admire the archipelago’s many species of wildlife, including: Galapagos penguins, green sea turtles, marine iguanas, white tip sharks, sea lions and many extraordinary bird species,” said Fernando Delgado, Vice President and General Manager of Silversea Cruises Ecuador.”

The Silver Origin will alternate between the two different itineraries that will include five never-before-used stopovers such as the beautiful island of Santa Fe. Each itinerary will also include stopovers on the iconic islands of Fernandina and Isabela.
