Oceania: a new rum and whisky program in 2023

Oceania Cruises will introduce a series of innovative rum and whisky programs on its entire fleet in 2023.

Experiences will feature a wide collection of The Macallan‘s iconic expressions with The Macallan Diamond Bar Cart, while Brugal 1888 Doblemente Añejado Rum will be featured in a new mixology class Tea at Sea and a wide selection of freshly made ice cream cocktails.

“Throughout the fleet we have been working on a number of innovative concepts drawing on current mixology trends. We know that this partnership with the Edrington spirits company will be an exciting addition on board,” said Daniela Oancea, Corporate Beverage Manager at Oceania Cruises.

The Macallan will include several exclusive experiences and offerings such as The Macallan Smoker, smoking cocktails created using aroma blasters to infuse the drink; the Macallan Flight Program, which takes guests on a journey of flavors and discovery exploring what makes The Macallan the world’s most valuable single malt whisky; and the Macallan Chocolate Pairing, which will be a decadent chocolate pairing of guests’ choice.

Brugal Rum & Tea at Sea, meanwhile, will teach guests the history of rum and tea pairing. The Nearly Neat Serving Cart with Brugal 1888 is a concept designed to offer a sophisticated alternative to traditional cocktails with an exclusive Nearly Neat menu featuring Brugal 1888 in The Chocolate Orange, The Night Cap, The Solstice and The Reviver. Brugal ice cream and cocktails will be available in the pools, restaurants and lounges to allow guests to refresh themselves with a decadent treat.

The new Macallan and Brugal offerings planned for the entire fleet are also in addition to Vista‘s innovative onboard bar program that will debut on May 20, 2023.
