Description

The Viking Fjolvar is a river ship specifically designed to sail along the Seine and dock at an exclusive location in the heart of Paris, just a short distance from the Eiffel Tower. Entering service in 2026, it measures approximately 125 metres in length and can accommodate up to 168 guests in 84 outside staterooms, offering an intimate and comfortable cruising experience amid the urban landscapes of the French capital and the countryside of Normandy. Its name refers to Fjölvar, a supernatural giant in Norse mythology, mentioned in the poem Hárbarðsljóð from the Poetic Edda and remembered for training and fighting alongside Odin on the island of Algrœn. The interiors feature refined Scandinavian design and include a restaurant with expansive panoramic windows, a Lounge & Bar, and the Aquavit Terrace, an indoor-outdoor space at the bow that is ideal for relaxing and admiring the scenery. The Sun Deck offers 360-degree views, while accommodation options include Standard Staterooms, French Balcony Staterooms, Veranda Staterooms, and suites, including Explorer Suites with spacious, wraparound private balconies and Veranda Suites featuring a separate living room and a private veranda.
