Marella Discovery 2 is, like Marella Discovery, a former Royal Caribbean Vision class ship. In 2017 it was sold to Tui, briefly taking the name of Tui Discovery 2 and finally joining the fleet of Marella Cruises in 2017. Today it sails for a British public, but the ship's still current structure allows cruises in a lively environment, open to the sea and very pleasant.
Much of the life on board takes place around the Atrium, 7 decks high, where the Cocktail and Piano Bar, the Atrium Bar and other clubs overlook each other. In the area of the funnel there is the Sky Lounge, with a bar and an a la carte restaurant.

Warm Welcome and Impeccable Cabin
I recently went on a cruise aboard the Marella Discovery 2, departing from Limassol, Cyprus. The itinerary was truly fascinating: Kusadasi with the ancient ruins of Ephesus, vibrant Mykonos, the charming town of Chania in Crete, and then two wonderful stops in Turkey—Marmaris and Alanya. Each port was well-organized, with plenty of time to explore and return on board without rushing. But what impressed me the most was the warm hospitality on board. From the very beginning, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. They really made you feel at home. The cabin was surprisingly spacious, bright, and very clean, with everything you need to relax after a day of excursions. I had a balcony cabin, and waking up each morning with a view of the sea was simply priceless. The bed was comfortable, and cabin service was punctual and discreet. One detail I truly appreciated was the quick and smooth check-in process, and how the crew made sure every guest felt comfortable.

Nice cruise ship and service
Marella Cruises offers a very good product, we had a great cruise experience. The ship is not new and some features are not modern. But we had excellent value for money, a lot of kindness on board and a very interesting itinerary. I would certainly recommend it, perhaps with a larger outside cabin.
