Viking Saturn: the new ship from Viking Cruises

Viking has announced that its newest ocean ship, Viking Saturn, will join the company’s award-winning fleet in early 2023. The sister ship, with 930 guests, will spend its first season sailing on three new itineraries in Scandinavia and the Nordic countries.

“The thousands of guests who participated in our Welcome Back trip to Iceland last summer enjoyed the experience so much that they provided record-breaking ratings,” said Torstein Hagen, president of Viking.

“These new itineraries are ideal for curious travelers and retrace the routes of early Viking explorers to Iceland and other North Atlantic destinations known for their natural beauty. We look forward to welcoming Viking Saturn to our fleet and offering guests even more ways to explore this unique part of the world in comfort.”

The new itineraries include two 15-day trips, Iconic Iceland, Greenland and Canadaand Iceland and Norway’s Arctic Explorer,” and the 29-day Greenland, Iceland and Norway trip that combines the previous two itineraries for a longer trip.

In addition to the three new itineraries, Viking also announced today that the company will bring back the popular 8-day “Iceland’s Natural Beauty” itinerary beginning in August 2023. Sailing on Viking Star, guests will encounter unparalleled natural beauty, witnessing waterfalls and pristine fjord landscapes.

Viking‘s ocean fleet features modern Scandinavian design with elegant touches, intimate spaces and attention to detail. In addition, for the first time, Viking has been voted both Best Ocean Cruise Line and River Cruise Line by Condé Nast Traveler at the 2021 Readers’ Choice Awards.
