Swan Hellenic: 2024 Expedition Voyages

Swan Hellenic has unveiled details of its 2024 Expedition Voyages, which will take guests to almost every coast from pole to pole, with iconic expeditions to places never before visited.

Explorations span the globe, from the Arctic to Antarctica and the rest of the world, with a choice of 8-day voyages to epic 21-night expeditions, accompanied by expert guides and renowned experts, scientists and explorers onboard SH Vega and SH Diana.

SH Vega will explore the Antarctic Peninsula from Ushuaia until early March 2024, when it will head west on an extraordinary 21-day South Atlantic Semicircle, visiting Gough Island – the seabird capital of the South Atlantic – and Tristan de Cunha en route to Cape Town, South Africa. This epic experience is followed by cultural expeditions along the west coast of Africa and to Lisbon, Portugal, before cruising the Atlantic coast to Honfleur, France. Expeditions to Cornwall, Ireland, Wales and Scotland will take SH Vega to Iceland, Norway and the Arctic in the summer season. Finally, in September, it will cross Greenland to Halifax, Canada, and then head south to spend October and November in the Caribbean and Brazil until the end of November 2024.

SH Diana will remain in Antarctica until the end of February 2024, when it will head north to the Chilean fjords and sail up the entire west coast of South and Central America to La Paz, Mexico. Returning south to cross the Panama Canal and discover the real Cuba, it will sail up the east coast of the United States to Halifax, Canada. From there, it will cross Greenland in late May for its Arctic season. Then, on July 20, it will leave Tromsø, Norway, and head south to the fjords, Scotland, and Holland. Moving down the Atlantic coast, it will enter the Mediterranean for the summer season. In early October, it will transit the Suez Canal and the Red Sea to explore the Seychelles, Madagascar and South Africa through the end of November. Finally, it will leave Cape Town for the semi-circumnavigation of the Antarctic Peninsula and Ushuaia, arriving in early December for the start of the next Antarctic season.

Andrea Zito, CEO of Swan Hellenic, says: “We are very excited about the fantastic itineraries our experts have curated for 2024, enhanced by exciting new destinations such as Cuba and the Bijagós Islands. We now offer an unparalleled selection of opportunities around the world to see what others don’t, with unique style and personalization.”

There are many attractions to choose from, but the highlights are In Shackleton’s Footsteps on SH Diana, which relives historic events in Antarctica, and Pristine Islands of West Africa on SH Vega, which explores the beautiful Bijagós Archipelago, whose 88 islands are all UNESCO Biosphere Reserves.

Of particular interest is Unspoilt Wilds of Southwest Africa onboard SH Vega, which includes wildlife viewing expeditions to Loango National Park in Gabon and Conkouati-Douli National Park in the Republic of Congo, neither of which are accessible by other cruise lines.
