Silversea: Two New Grand Voyages in 2024

Silversea Cruises, a company dedicated to luxury cruising, has announced two new Grand Voyages for 2024 that will offer travelers in-depth explorations of the regions they will visit.

Grand Voyages are a very important product for Silversea, and every aspect of them is tailored to create memorable and meaningful experiences for guests, from the different itineraries to the flavors of the food onboard to the special events and commemorative gifts.

Silversea’s two new Grand Voyages for 2024 include:

The Grand Voyage Mediterranean 2024 onboard Silver Spirit, departing Lisbon on October 4, 2024 and arriving in Athens on November 16, 2024, will explore the Mediterranean in depth for 43 days, visiting iconic ports and hidden gems among 34 destinations in 13 countries. Travelers will visit the Iberian Peninsula, Monaco, the beautiful landscapes of Croatia and the wonders of ancient Israel, among other historic regions. In addition to visits to Barcelona, Rome, Monte Carlo, Korcula and more, Silversea guests will enjoy overnight stays in Cadiz, Alexandria, Naples and Jerusalem.

The goal of the voyage is to connect guests with the culture and rich history of each destination through unique experiences and customized events. In Dubrovnik, guests will step back in time through one of the world’s most spectacular medieval cities, accompanied by the famous Dubrovnik Guards in period costume, visit the 15th century Revelin Fortress with canapés, drinks and performances by some of Croatia’s best entertainers.

The Grand Indian Ocean Expedition 2024 onboard Silver Cloud will depart Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) on April 4, 2024, and explore the off-the-beaten-path destinations of the diverse and varied Indian Ocean. Over 66 days, guests will discover the region’s unique wildlife, beautiful landscapes and ancient history at 45 destinations in 12 countries before arriving in Darwin on May 24.

For this departure, all Silversea guests will enjoy a two-night pre-cruise program: an African adventure to Shamwari, a private game reserve in South Africa, where they will see many of the continent’s most iconic wildlife species and enjoy the cruise’s Bon Voyage Dinner Reception.

Grand Voyage highlights include exploring the lush jungles of Madagascar, relaxing on the secluded beaches of the Maldives, and snorkeling and diving in some of the world’s most vibrant waters. In Tanzania’s Kilwa Kisiwani, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Silversea guests connect with local culture at the ruins of the Malindi Mosque, Fort Gereza and the tombs of the sultans. They will learn about the lives of the semi-nomadic Vezo people, who preserve their ancestral way of life in Belo sur Mer, Madagascar. You will encounter some of the richest wildlife on the planet, from Bird Island in the Seychelles to Addo Elephant Park in South Africa. Then finish the adventure by exploring Australia’s remote Kimberley region.

Silversea is expanding its collection of Grand Voyages 2024/2025 to become the largest in the line’s history, offering eight unique voyages. The other six Grand Voyages planned and previously announced are: Grand Pole-to-Pole Expedition 2024, Grand South Pacific Expedition 2024, Grand Pacific 2024, Grand South America 2025, Grand Africa and Arabia 2025, and the Grand Asia 2025.
