Silversea: The long-awaited return to Asia


Silversea Cruises confirms its highly anticipated return to Asia, scheduled for December 2022, with Silver Shadow, Silver Whisper, Silver Spirit and Silver Muse sailing in the region through May 2023.

Highlights of Silversea‘s season will include visits to Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, and Vietnam, with overnight stops and late departures that will maximize guests’ opportunities for in-depth exploration, combining travel opportunities in both iconic cities and less-visited destinations. Enjoying the finest service at sea aboard Silversea‘s ultra-luxury ships, guests will be immersed in Asia’s diverse cultures and landscapes, discovering the continent’s most enriching experiences and engaging with local communities.

Silversea‘s Asian season, includes 25 voyages from 10 to 20 days; salient itineraries will be:

16 days from Mumbai to Singapore, aboard Silver Spirit guests will enjoy the enrichments of renowned travel writer Paul Theroux and dive deep into India’s rich culture in Cochin, Colombo in Sri Lanka with an overnight stop, Trincomalee, Phuket in Thailand, Port Klang (Kuala Lumpur) in Malaysia and Malacca, arriving in Singapore on Jan. 4 for an overnight stop.

10 days from Hong Kong to Singapore, guests aboard Silver Spirit will sail to Vietnam, with overnight calls at Ha Long Bay, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City for two nights, before arriving in Singapore. Unforgettable experiences for travelers include a trip to the ancient city of Hoi An, a tour of the Mekong Delta, a descent into the tunnels of Cu Chi, and an optional mid-trip land program to Angkor Wat in Cambodia. A series of optional pre- and post-cruise land programs will allow guests to travel even deeper.

14 days from Hong Kong to Hong Kong, guests will have the opportunity to explore Vigan (Salomague Harbor), Manila on an overnight stop, Romblon Island, Coron (Palawan), Chan May (Hue/Da Nang), Da Nang and Ha Long Bay overnight.

From Singapore to Mumbai, aboard Silver Spirit guests will experience the great diversity of Asia, traveling deep between Singapore, Thailand, India, and Sri Lanka, with overnight stops in Chennai, Colombo, and Mumbai offering opportunities for longer visits to iconic cities. Destinations will include Phuket, Chennai, Trincomalee, Colombo, Cochin, New Mangalore, Mormugao (Goa) and Mumbai. Travelers will also have the opportunity to visit the Angkor Wat temple during an optional five-night pre-cruise overland program, or explore the Taj Mahal, Agra and Delhi during an optional three-night post-cruise adventure.

Silversea‘s all-inclusive door-to-door offerings are among the most comprehensive at sea, including private transfers between home and airport, international flights or upgrades to business class at reduced rates, in-country flights when required, pre- and post-cruise hotels, transfers and baggage handling, and all shore excursions.
