Scenic Ikon takes centre stage in the 2028-29 Collection
Scenic Group is looking to the future with the launch of its new 2028–2029 itinerary collection for the Scenic Discovery Yachts, a program spanning Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Americas, and marking the official debut of Scenic Ikon.
The new Scenic Ikon will enter service in April 2028, joining Scenic Eclipse and Scenic Eclipse II and bringing the Scenic Discovery Yachts fleet to three vessels. This significant expansion will allow Scenic to offer an even broader range of exclusive itineraries, featuring destinations that are often difficult to reach and largely absent from traditional cruise routes.

Designed to sail to smaller ports, hidden bays, and remote regions, Scenic Ikon and her sister yachts will allow guests to enjoy a more authentic and immersive travel experience, bringing them closer to the heart of the destinations they visit. The combination of calls at intimate ports and tailor-made land programs will offer a new way to explore the world, blending the comfort of an ultra-luxury cruise with the discovery of landscapes, cultures, and local communities through meticulously curated experiences.
The new program features fresh itineraries across the Eastern Mediterranean, Adriatic, Aegean, Atlantic, and West Africa, as well as new land journeys in Italy, Malta, Türkiye, and Greece. The offering will be further enhanced by additional services reserved for guests staying in higher-category suites and exclusive benefits for selected Super Earlybird bookings, which will also include complimentary helicopter sightseeing experiences, reinforcing Scenic’s fully inclusive ultra-luxury travel concept.
Scenic Ikon’s inaugural season will focus primarily on the Eastern Mediterranean, Adriatic, and Aegean, combining iconic coastlines, exclusive islands, small ports, and lesser-known destinations often inaccessible to traditional cruise ships. New itineraries include the Greek islands of Naxos, Milos, Paros, and Hydra, along with Adriatic calls such as Kotor, Dubrovnik, and Zadar. The collection will also feature stays in Istanbul, an overnight experience in Egypt with a visit to the Pyramids of Giza, and sailings through the Dardanelles, offering opportunities to explore historic sites such as Troy and Anzac Cove. Further west, Scenic will expand its Atlantic and West African program by introducing new destinations including Cape Verde and Dakar.
To meet growing guest demand for more comprehensive and immersive travel experiences, both before and after their cruise, Scenic has expanded its portfolio of tailor-made land journeys and exclusive small-group tours.

The new programs dedicated to Italy, Malta, Türkiye, and Greece have been designed to complement selected Scenic Discovery Yacht cruises, creating a broader travel experience that combines the exploration of coastlines, historic cities, and inland regions within one seamless journey. Curated directly by the Scenic team, these itineraries will include luxury hotel accommodations, private transfers, carefully selected culinary experiences, guided tours, and the support of a dedicated Scenic Tour Director, accompanying guests throughout every stage of their trip.
As highlighted by Angus Crichton, Director of Land Product at Scenic Group, the new land journeys have been conceived to complement the itineraries of the Scenic Discovery Yachts, allowing guests to enjoy a seamless connection between their cruise and onshore exploration through an integrated program and personalized service that reflects the brand’s standards.
For the 2028 and 2029 seasons, Scenic will also introduce additional privileges for guests staying in Panorama, Grand Panorama, Scenic Yacht, Grand Terrace, Owner’s Penthouse, and Ikon’s Penthouse Suites. On selected Signature Yacht Cruises in Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Americas, guests will enjoy a private half-day excursion with a personal guide. Depending on the destination, experiences may include exclusive after-hours access to museums, culinary encounters with local chefs, and bespoke cultural activities. Eligible suite guests will also receive private chauffeur airport transfers at both the beginning and end of their journey.
Guests staying in Penthouse Suites will have access to a helicopter landing experience, where permitted, including activities such as golfing at Verdura Resort in Sicily or Terre Blanche in France, visits to destinations such as Portonovi and Tenuta delle Ripaille on Elba Island, as well as a truffle-hunting experience with Karlić Truffles in Croatia.
Guests staying in the Ikon’s Penthouse Suites and members of the Chairman’s Club will also enjoy exclusive access to the Chairman’s Lounge aboard Scenic Ikon, a private venue featuring a dedicated bar and a curated selection of dishes inspired by the menus available across the yacht’s 15 restaurants and culinary venues.

Finally, guests booking a suite under the Super Earlybird offer on selected departures between April 2027 and April 2029 will receive a complimentary 20-minute helicopter experience over destinations visited in Europe, the Mediterranean and the Americas. Thanks to the two helicopters carried on board the Scenic fleet, this experience will provide a unique aerial perspective of the landscapes, coastlines and destinations explored during the voyage.
