Scenic Group Launches Immersive Cruises for 2026/27


Scenic Group is launching immersive cruises for 2026 and 2027, offering unique experiences with renowned chefs, sommeliers, photographers, Broadway performers, wellness experts, and cultural specialists.

Designed to create a deeper connection between guests and destinations, these cruises combine the luxury of cruising with expert-led programs across various fields. Each itinerary integrates onboard activities, interactive sessions, and exclusive experiences curated by recognized professionals in their respective areas.

Ken Muskat, President of Scenic Group USA and LATAM, stated that the group’s special cruises bring together extraordinary experts and immersive programs, transforming the cruise experience into something truly memorable and allowing guests to cultivate their passions while exploring some of the world’s most remarkable destinations.

Emerald Cruises & Tours presents the Savor the Moment Specialty Voyages collection, which unites culinary talents, world-class sommeliers, and celebrated photographers in cruises designed to combine destination discovery with themed, curated programs. In 2026, the company will feature the Sommelier Collection from August 22–29, with an itinerary from Nice to Lyon exploring the unique sensations of Lyon and Provence aboard the Emerald Liberté, featuring sommelier Alejandro Ferris. Following this, from September 1–8, the Photography Collection will sail the legendary Rhine and Moselle rivers, departing and returning from Frankfurt aboard the Emerald Astra, guided by photographer Juano Abreu. This cruise marks the introduction of a new itinerary for the brand and takes place on one of the Star-Ship’s newest vessels. In December, from the 13th–20th, the Culinary Collection will take guests to explore the Leeward Islands on a round-trip cruise from St. Maarten aboard the Emerald Azzurra, with chef Rachel Hargrove from Below Deck leading exclusive culinary experiences.

In 2027, Emerald Cruises will further expand the concept by introducing wine, culinary, rum, and photography-themed cruises on both river ships and ocean yachts. New offerings include the Quintessential Caribbean Rum Sailing from January 9–16, taking guests from San Juan to St. Thomas aboard the Emerald Sakara, and the Danube Delights Wine Voyage from March 29–April 5, sailing from Munich to Budapest aboard the Emerald Sky. The Photography Collection from September 6–13 will feature an itinerary along the majestic Rhine, departing and returning from Frankfurt aboard the Emerald Sun, accompanied by photographer Gary Bogdon. Culinary-themed cruises with chef Rachel Hargrove will continue across Europe and the Mediterranean, with itineraries from Malaga to Barcelona, Budapest to Munich, and round trips from Paris aboard the Emerald Lumi, offering exclusive gastronomic experiences and immersive onboard programs.

Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours, meanwhile, offers the Discovery Series Theme Voyages, cruises that combine immersive explorations with experiences led by prominent figures in wellness, gastronomy, science, and the arts. In 2026, sailings include the Wellness Retreat Voyage on April 24, departing from Barbados to Spain, featuring renowned yoga instructor Marcos Jassan alongside Scenic’s onboard wellness and spa experts. Also in 2026, the Tastes of Discovery cruises provide culinary experiences with internationally acclaimed chefs, including Gabriel Rodriguez and Michelin-starred chef Begoña Rodrigo. All cruises in this series feature exclusive programs, including expert talks, interactive demonstrations, pop-up culinary experiences, and specially curated events for guests participating in the themed journey.

For 2027, the Discovery Series will further expand with themed voyages dedicated to literature, wellness, and performing arts. Highlighted itineraries include Words of Discovery on March 3 with Dr. Robert Watson; the Wellness Retreat Voyage on April 14 from Barbados to Portugal with Marcos Jassan; and Sounds of Discovery on September 28, a cruise from New York City to the Bahamas featuring Broadway performances and curated musical programs.
