Europe, and particularly the Mediterranean, is a destination rich in history, culture, charming villages, and sparkling azure waters. Italy, France, Spain, or Portugal, Scenic offers many alternatives to enjoy this destination in unparalleled luxury through exclusive experiences.

Aboard the Scenic Eclipse, an advanced and ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht, it is indeed possible to immerse oneself in countless treasures among flavors, history, elegant cities, beautiful islands, small ports, and breathtaking coasts. With the “Italian Treasures” itinerary, departing on May 10th, you can experience the Italian “Dolce Vita,” a true lifestyle concept made up of a unique mix of family, food, nature, art, and fun.

Exploring the beautiful southern coast of Italy, during this nine-day journey, you can immerse yourself in natural splendor, architecture, unique cuisine, UNESCO World Heritage sites, and ancient history, experiencing Italy at its most spectacular. Departing from Civitavecchia (Rome), Scenic Eclipse will take guests to Sorrento, Capri, Amalfi, and Taormina, docking alongside the elegant superyachts of celebrities and billionaires.

Departing from Civitavecchia, a Roman port dating back to the 2nd century, Scenic Eclipse will head to Sorrento, a small tourist resort known as the land of lemons and orange groves, as well as the birthplace of limoncello liqueur and the gateway to the spectacular Amalfi Coast. Here you can choose from a range of activities such as exploring Pompeii, hiking the Path of the Gods, visiting Positano, taking a sightseeing tour of Sorrento, or enjoying a gastronomic experience with a visit to a charming farm to discover how mozzarella is produced and taste handmade bread, cheese, and salami, or even opt for a kayak tour.

The second stop will be the fascinating Capri, which with its beauty attracts royalty, celebrities, and travelers from around the world. Here you can stroll through the Piazzetta and listen to the chime of the clock tower, admire the incredibly blue ocean crashing against the cliffs, and taste the famous flourless chocolate cake or a fresh caprese salad. Moreover, thanks to a long stop, you will be able to immerse yourself in the village atmosphere after sunset. In Amalfi, nestled between mountains and the sea, a stroll along its winding alleys will lead guests to admire historic buildings, grand churches, and decorated fountains, or relax in one of the many cafes lining the street. You can also head inland to Ravello and visit Villa Ruffalo with its spectacular gardens and iconic tower, or visit the temples of Paestum and a mozzarella dairy farm, or even discover the enchanting Emerald Grotto.

In Lipari, part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Aeolian Islands, you can visit its pebble beaches, hiking trails, and historic harbor or enjoy a scenic cruise to the island of Vulcano, known for its dormant volcanoes and active geological wonders. On the sixth day, you will arrive in Taormina, one of Sicily’s most renowned resorts. Once a stop on the famous Grand Tour of the 19th century, today it is rich in luxury hotels, exceptional restaurants, and designer boutiques. It is also the gateway to Mount Etna, which dominates the picturesque backdrop. Here you can discover the beauties of Taormina, take a kayak tour, explore Europe’s largest active volcano, Mount Etna’s Silvestri crater, and enjoy a wine tasting.

The tour of Sicily will end with a stop in Licata, located in the center of the island’s southern coast, at the mouth of the Salso River, to explore its center and admire the architecture, ancient ruins, and sandy beaches that stretch along the coast.

The final stop on the itinerary will be the island of Malta with a visit to the island of Gozo, an idyllic Mediterranean island rich in picturesque fishing villages, small coves, and sandy beaches, and to La Valletta, the capital of Malta, which offers a beautiful conclusion to this grand exploration of the Mediterranean, still offering glimpses of history, architecture, and natural beauty.

All of this will be accompanied by Scenic’s authentic service and the elegance of Scenic Eclipse, designed to offer the ultimate ultra-luxury cruise experience for up to 228 guests.
