The Seychelles are becoming one of the newest frontiers in Emerald Cruises & Tours' luxury cruise program. For November 2026, the company has announced the debut of two new departures of its Seychelles & Indian Ocean Adventure itinerary aboard Emerald Kaia, the brand's newest luxury yacht.
The new itinerary offers a 13-day voyage through the Seychelles archipelago, the coast of Tanzania, and Kenya, combining the intimacy of yacht cruising with the opportunity to discover some of the most remote and least-visited regions of the Indian Ocean.
The new program has been developed in response to the growing demand for travel experiences far removed from the world's best-known and most crowded destinations. In this respect, the Seychelles offer an ideal destination. The archipelago, comprising 115 islands, is renowned for its granite formations, crystal-clear waters, protected marine reserves, and extraordinary biodiversity. Many of the islands remain uninhabited, helping to preserve an exceptional natural and scenic heritage.
The new itineraries extend beyond the Seychelles, taking guests to the fascinating coastlines of Tanzania and Kenya—regions rich in history, wildlife, and cultural significance that still lie largely outside the traditional cruise circuit.
The itinerary operates between Mahé in the Seychelles and Mombasa in Kenya, calling at La Digue, Praslin, Farquhar Atoll, Aldabra Atoll, Kilwa Kisiwani, Mafia Island, and Zanzibar before reaching the Kenyan coast. Along the way, guests experience an ever-changing landscape, from the Seychelles' granite islands to coral atolls and, finally, the shores of East Africa.
Among the most remarkable destinations is Aldabra Atoll, one of the Indian Ocean's greatest natural treasures, celebrated for its exceptional biodiversity and as home to the famous Aldabra giant tortoises. The voyage then continues to Tanzania, introducing guests to the history and culture of the Swahili Coast.
