Aranui announces special offers for summer 2023

Aranui Cruises has announced special promotions for this summer, with 20% discounts on cruises to the Marquesas Islands and a stopover in Bora Bora on the Austral Islands cruise in French Polynesia.

For departures from July 1 to August 12, 2023, Aranui Cruises is offering a 20% discount or single supplement reduction and special children’s fares on four departures to the Marquesas Islands. Beginning September 9, 2023, the line has extended the offer to the Austral Islands and added a new bonus stop on the return from the Austral Islands to the fabled island of Bora Bora, the “Pearl of the Pacific”.

The Marquesas Islands

The mysterious, unspoiled beauty and wild coastlines of the Marquesas Islands are fascinating, and there is no better way to get there than onboard a cruise ship. On the way to the Marquesas, cruisers pass through the beautiful Tuamotu archipelago, stopping at either the flora- and fauna-rich island of Kauehi or the fortress-like island of Makatea, depending on the date of the cruise. The largest example of an atoll in French Polynesia, Rangiroa offers a seemingly endless blue lagoon that attracts fish of all sizes and colors, including the famous and majestic manta rays. For history and art lovers, the cruise offers the chance to discover the stories of the conquistadors, missionaries and French settlers who shaped the history of Tahuata, the smallest inhabited island. On Hiva Oa you can visit the former home of artist Paul Gauguin, his tomb and a replica of his “House of Pleasure”. On Fatu Hiva, the most lush and remote of the islands visited during the cruise, the highlight will undoubtedly be watching the sun set over Virgin Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Austral Islands

Located 300 miles south of Tahiti, the Austral Islands are a pristine and mysterious land where white sandy beaches meet deep blue lagoons and stunning landscapes of rugged mountain peaks contrast with lush green valleys and caves containing ancient burial sites. Sailing from Papeete, Tahiti, on September 9, 2023, the 12-day cruise to this remote archipelago visits the five inhabited elevated atolls of Austral’s rich and varied island chain. The cruise also coincides with the ideal time of year for humpback whale watching in the warm waters surrounding the Austral Islands. Before returning to Tahiti at the end of the cruise, there is time for a final stop on the penultimate day of the cruise on the fabled island of Bora Bora, the “Pearl of the Pacific”.
