The Franklin London and The Gore London, both part of Starhotels Collezione, have unveiled a new collection of handcrafted gin and vodka created exclusively for their respective cocktail bars.
Produced in small batches using carefully selected botanicals and crafted with a sustainable approach, these new spirits represent far more than a beverage innovation. They are a liquid expression of each hotel's distinctive identity and its celebrated cocktail bar, transforming every tasting into a journey through history, design, and contemporary mixology.
An increasing number of luxury hotels are choosing to stand out through exclusive projects that offer guests truly one-of-a-kind experiences. The new spirits collection by The Franklin London and The Gore London was created with precisely this goal in mind: to develop products that could not exist anywhere else because they are deeply rooted in the history, atmosphere, and character of the two properties. Behind every label lies a story inspired by places, emotions, and carefully curated details that elevate a simple aperitif into a memorable sensory experience.
Production has been entrusted to London-based Tiny Tower Liquor, a specialist in small-batch artisanal distillation. Most of the botanicals are sourced from local suppliers, while the distillery's proximity to both hotels helps reduce transport-related emissions, reinforcing their commitment to increasingly responsible and sustainable hospitality.
Overlooking the peaceful Egerton Gardens in the elegant district of Knightsbridge, The Franklin London is one of the British capital's most refined boutique hotels. Designed by renowned interior designer Anouska Hempel, it enchants guests with its intimate atmosphere, Art Deco influences, and interiors reminiscent of an elegant private residence.
That same spirit comes to life in the new Forbidden Garden Gin, created exclusively for The Franklin Bar. Bright citrus notes immediately evoke the freshness of London's gardens before evolving into delicate herbal nuances and subtle spices, leading to a clean, elegant finish. The gin is designed to be enjoyed simply with premium tonic water or reinterpreted in the bar's signature cocktails. Alongside it is Whisper Vodka, distilled from British apples with delicate spicy notes. Smooth, balanced, and versatile, it has been crafted to enhance both timeless classics and contemporary mixology creations.

While The Franklin embodies London's discreet elegance, The Gore London celebrates the city's more iconic, creative, and unconventional side. Located just steps from the Royal Albert Hall, this historic hotel, established in 1892, has long been associated with the worlds of art and music. Its legendary Bar 190 achieved iconic status after hosting the 1968 launch party for the Rolling Stones' Beggars Banquet, becoming one of the defining venues of London's music scene.
This remarkable heritage inspired Rock Royalty Gin, a bold spirit combining vibrant citrus and fruity notes with delicate sweetness and gentle spice, resulting in a warm yet perfectly balanced finish. It is accompanied by an elegant Pink Gin, characterised by chamomile, lavender, and citrus, offering a beautifully floral and aromatic profile. Completing the collection is Rock Star Vodka, smooth and lightly spiced, with subtle fruity notes that make it an ideal base for classic international cocktails.
In recent years, the concept of luxury has evolved significantly. Guests are no longer looking solely for impeccable accommodation and exclusive services; they increasingly seek authentic experiences that create a meaningful connection with the destination. The decision to develop a proprietary collection of spirits perfectly reflects this evolution.
The limited production, carefully selected ingredients, strong connection to the local area, and sustainable philosophy behind the project also embody a concept that is becoming increasingly valued within the international hospitality industry: conscious luxury, defined by quality, authenticity, and meticulous attention to detail. Available in elegant 50cl bottles and sold directly at the hotels, these spirits become a lasting extension of the experience enjoyed at The Franklin Bar and Bar 190, transforming a souvenir into a premium keepsake.
The new gin and vodka collection therefore represents another milestone in the offerings of The Franklin London and The Gore London, enhancing their respective cocktail bars with exclusive spirits that reflect the unique character of each property. It is a project that combines craftsmanship, attention to detail, and an ever-growing commitment to delivering authentic guest experiences.
