Cruising the Bahamas: Perfect Day at CocoCay

Relaxation on beautiful white beaches, crystal clear waters, adrenaline experiences in the Thrill Water Park, with spectacular slides, water sports and zip line: all this at Perfect Day at CocoCay!

CocoCay Island in the Bahamas, is a true paradise; Royal Caribbean‘s private island near Nassau, Bahamas.

Royal Caribbean International opened Perfect Day at CocoCay in May 2019, a huge island playground in the heart of the Bahamas reserved for all Royal Caribbean guests. Here you can relax on beautiful white beaches or take a dip in crystal clear turquoise waters and enjoy adrenaline-pumping experiences on breathtaking waterslides.

The company spent about 225 million euros to build this island. The attraction that gets the most attention from guests is undoubtedly the giant water slide, Daredevil’s Peak, the tallest water slide in North America, more than 41 meters high.

Another exuberant attraction is undoubtedly the adrenaline-filled descent on the 488-meter-long zipline.

The island also features many restaurants, floating cabanas and a giant swimming pool. The island was originally called Little Stirrup Cay but after Royal Caribbean took it over, they renamed it CocoCay. The only way to visit CocoCay is to stop there on one of the cruises offered by Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.

Most of the cruises departing from Miami of the Royal Caribbean International company, call at CocoCay; the island has a port that allows the disembarkation of passengers.

On the island there are also paths through which to walk in the small forest and small stores where you can buy beach items, crafts and local products.

There are four fine white sand beaches on the island: Snorkel Beach, Water Sports Beach, Coconut Willie’s Beach and Barefoot Beach.

At CocoCay, you can also enjoy many activities including: jet skiing, parachuting, kayaking and spectacular diving where you can observe the beautiful coral reef, colorful tropical fish and wrecks of countless species.
