The Animator’s Palate: a dinner among Disney drawings

On the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder, just like on other ships in the Disney Cruise Line, there is Rotational Dining: every evening you will dine at a different restaurant, assigned at the beginning of the cruise, retaining both your same table number and wait staff. Today let’s discover the Animator’s Palate, one of the most captivating restaurants on board!

Located at the stern on deck 4 of both the Disney Magic and the Disney Wonder ships, it is open only for dinner. You enter the restaurant through a corridor filled with Disney themed drawings which leads to a large room surrounded by screens. Every evening you can taste delicious dishes surrounded by the screens which feature drawings that slowly take shape and are then colored. On some evenings the drawings all follow one theme, such as the one dedicated to pirates with drawings of Captain Hook, Smee and Peter Pan.

When the time for dessert arrives, all the drawings are finished and come to life, with music and lighting effects. A nice sequence of drawings retraces all the major Disney cartoons, with scenes from the happiest to the saddest, but reminding us that there is always a happy ending!

The menu varies every evening when you return to the restaurant based on the rotation, so you will always find new items to choose from. The dishes at the Animator’s Palate do not follow any particular theme, but are based on international cuisine with meat and fish and the excellent desserts that are always available on ships in the Disney Cruise Line. While waiting to be served your dessert, get your camera ready to immortalize the arrival of Mickey Mouse who will come by to greet you together with the chef!

Don’t miss out on the grilled tuna steak, the Chevalle lamb shank and the delicious chocolate fudge cheesecake. Whatever you choose from the menu, the Animator’s Palate will add a beautiful experience during your cruise and ensure you can’t wait to come back on board.
