Ponant and Pierre Hermé: a gastronomic alliance at sea


Thanks to a partnership with Pierre Hermé, tea time onboard Ponant ships will be a unique experience.

On all Ponant ships, guests will have the opportunity to taste four macarons created by the man known as the “Picasso of pastry”. Pierre claims that the macaron is his favorite medium of expression because it allows him to be extremely creative.

Ponant and Pierre Hermé Paris share the same ambition to create unique moments and unforgettable sensory experiences by combining the breathtaking landscapes onboard their ships with the tasting of haute patisserie.

To celebrate this new partnership, Le Lyrial will welcome Pierre Hermé as its guest of honor on a voyage from Athens to Istanbul from July 6 to 13, 2023, to discover the ancient treasures of the Mediterranean. For this occasion, the master pastry chef will create the desserts for the two gala dinners hosted by Pierre Hermé and Rachid Agouray, Deputy Director of La Mamounia Marrakech, and their teams. During the cruise onboard Le Lyrial, Pierre Hermé will share his passion for pastry and his recipes with guests.
