Description

Viking Egdir, built-in 2022, with a length of approximately 135 meters, can accommodate 190 guests, along with its crew of 50 members. The name is inspired by Egdir, identified in Norse mythology as the guardian of Jötunheimar, the home of the Jötnar (or giants) and one of the nine realms of Norse cosmology. He is also believed to have been the shepherd who cared for the offspring of the mythological wolf Fenrir. But he is best known for his role in Ragnarok, signaling the Jötnar the epic final battle with the strumming of his harp.
The ship features 4 decks, where 95 comfortable cabins are distributed. It also offers various amenities, such as a restaurant, a lounge/bar, a library, the onboard shop, the Aquavit Terrace & Lounge, a revolutionary indoor/outdoor observation area at the bow of the ship for outdoor dining, and a Sun deck with a 360-degree view and a shaded seating area. Additionally, the ship incorporates ecological hybrid engines for reduced vibrations and smoother navigation.
