Description

Viking Baldur, constructed in 2013, has 95 spacious cabins and can accommodate up to 190 guests. With 4 decks, the ship features a restaurant, a library, a gift shop, the Aquavit Terrace & Lounge, a revolutionary indoor/outdoor observation area at the bow of the ship for alfresco dining, a bar/lounge, and a large sun deck. Additionally, there's free Wi-Fi onboard, as well as laundry service.
The name derives from Norse mythology. Baldur was the favorite of all, loved by both gods and mortals. It was believed that Baldur was so immune to injury that, at banquets, guests would amuse themselves by throwing objects at him. However, the wicked trickster Loki discovered that the only thing that could harm Baldur was mistletoe. Loki deceived Hodur into throwing a mistletoe twig at Baldur, mortally wounding him.
