Description

Onboard the Victoria Jenna cruise ship, guests experience a luxurious cruise while crossing the Yangtze River in sumptuous cabins designed by blending modern style with traditional Chinese style. On the ship, guests can enjoy the finest Chinese cuisine or spend leisure time taking lessons on Chinese history and culture or watching live demonstrations of Chinese calligraphy. Additionally, guests can work out in the gym or relax in the spa sauna, or enjoy the comfort of their cabin while admiring the panorama from the intimacy of their own balcony.
Guests are assured not to miss out on what China has to offer thanks to the onboard guides, who will provide guests with insights into the history of the banks of the Chinese Yangtze River, explanations of the attractions visited, cultural landmarks, and ancient Chinese buildings, as well as insights into the latest developments in Chinese history.
There are only 189 cabins for guests, ranging from the Superior category (20 sqm) to the two most exclusive cabins, the Shangri-La Suites, of 58 sqm. Onboard amenities include two restaurants, four elevators, a three-story atrium lobby, two lounges, three bars, a fitness center, two conference rooms, a reading room, the lounge where onboard artists perform in the evening, and a souvenir shop.

An Unforgettable Cruise on the Yangtze River

I spent eight days aboard the Victoria Jenna, and it was an immersive and surprisingly comfortable experience that I highly recommend to anyone looking to deeply explore the Three Gorges region. Boarding in Chongqing was quick and efficient. The staff was well-organized, welcoming, and helpful from the very first moment on board. The Victoria Jenna’s cabins perfectly combine modern design with elegant traditional Chinese touches. I stayed in a Superior Cabin with a balcony—spacious, tastefully furnished, impeccably clean, and offering breathtaking views of the river. The ship truly lacks nothing: there’s a fitness center, sauna, lounge bar, two restaurants, lounges, souvenir shops, and even a theater for evening performances. The shore excursions were well-organized and diverse, ranging from a visit to the Three Gorges Dam to discovering ancient temples and historic villages along the riverbanks. In particular, I recommend not missing the excursion to the Shibaozhai Pagoda.
