Thurgau Avanti

MS Thurgau Avanti is the new flagship of Thurgau Travel, scheduled to enter service in May 2027 on the Rhine and its tributaries. Measuring 135 metres in length, the vessel can accommodate up to 180 passengers in 82 cabins and 8 suites, distributed across four passenger decks. The project is being developed under the direction of the Dutch TeamCo shipyard, with an investment of approximately CHF 29 million. Accommodation includes double cabins measuring around 15–16 m², four Junior Suites of approximately 19 m² and four Azzurra Suites of around 24 m². Two Junior Suites on the upper deck have been designed for guests with reduced mobility. Cabins on the middle and upper decks feature French balconies. The dining offer includes three restaurants, among them the Mediterranean speciality restaurant “La Tavola”, as well as a private dining experience. Public areas include a spacious Panorama Salon with bar, dance floor and library, while the Sun Deck features the “Avanti Garden”, a whirlpool, barbecue area, bar and several relaxation spaces.

Additional facilities include a wellness area with sauna and relaxation loungers, a massage room and a fitness room. From an environmental perspective, the vessel incorporates technologies aimed at reducing emissions and energy consumption, together with solar panels, LED lighting and materials selected according to sustainability criteria. Thurgau Travel is also targeting Green Award Gold certification. With MS Thurgau Avanti, Thurgau Travel continues its fleet renewal programme, combining contemporary comfort, a diversified gastronomic offer and technologies designed to support more efficient river cruising.
