Warm Welcome Amid Alaska’s Ice
The Carnival Luminosa took me on a breathtaking 7-day journey through Alaska’s majestic landscapes, departing from Seattle. The itinerary was simply stunning: we cruised through Tracy Arm Fjord, then visited Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, and ended with a brief evening stop in Victoria, Canada. Beyond the incredible natural scenery, what stood out most was the warmth of the onboard hospitality. From day one, the crew was thoughtful, attentive, and always smiling, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere despite the chilly surroundings. The cabins were bright, well-maintained, and felt like the perfect retreat after long days of exploring. Life onboard moved at a gentler pace than Caribbean cruises, but there was still plenty of entertainment, delicious food (especially fresh seafood and warm soups—perfect for the weather), and elegant shared spaces. I’d highly recommend this cruise to anyone looking for nature, relaxation, and a true Carnival-style hospitality experience.
