Seabourn Venture: new “Expedition” signed Seabourn

Seabourn Venture is an expedition ship built for Seabourn Cruise Line in 2022. Together with her sister ship Seabourn Pursuit, she forms the Expedition division of the prestigious Seabourn brand.

Combining elegance and hospitality with everything necessary for a cruise of true discovery in the polar regions is no simple matter, but aboard Seabourn Venture, it seems a perfectly successful operation. Not only that: on board, the rooms are large and numerous in relation to the guests, ensuring enjoyability and a feeling of space everywhere.

The beating heart of the first-born Expedition is Seabourn Square, as on all other ships in the fleet. Located aft on Deck 6, it houses a range of amenities gathered around a large lounge. On one side, the cafeteria is the focal point for coffee lovers in all its forms, but also the ideal place for a sweet and savory snack, or a great ice cream made on board. Around the Reception Desk, consisting of a series of desks where you can find helpful and friendly staff, a series of books make up the Onboard Library, with many volumes on the subject of travel and polar expeditions. The Seabourn Square also has a heated outdoor area overlooking the stern, with chairs and comfortable sofas.

Equally welcoming is the Explorer Lounge, an atmospheric and equally popular place. Two scenic stoves convey the feeling of warmth and of being in a family lounge, where the day’s experiences can be shared with friends. The Bar is available for hot drinks or aperitifs in the evening, and on one side the Shop offers nice clothing, hiking gadgets, jewelry, and other gift items.

From the Expedition Lounge there is access to the Discovery Center, a place of fundamental importance on board an Expedition ship. Indeed, a variety of lectures related to itineraries, excursion preparation briefings, and information meetings are held here. In the evening, it also represents the shipboard theater for various kinds of entertainment.

But the spaces available to guests aboard Seabourn Venture are still many. On Deck 9, aft area, The Club represents another space to read in a relaxing way or take advantage of for an evening aperitif. This is also where excellent Sushi is served in the evenings, with a variety of specialties in complimentary form. The Sky Bar, overlooking the stern, represents its outdoor area, with sun loungers and two Jacuzzis.

In the evenings, the place for dancing and late nights is definitely the Constellation Lounge, located forward on Deck 9. A place that can also be enjoyed during the day, thanks to the beautiful windows overlooking the sea, or the exquisite afternoon tea served there, with excellent pastries and sandwiches. Another very attractive area is the Bow Lounge, located precisely aft of Deck 6. Here a series of screens conveys the feeling of being on the bridge deck, being able to monitor the course and many other navigation-related data. Drinks and snacks are also available here for many hours a day. The Bow Lounge is the access point to the large outdoor space on the bow, an ideal place to observe fabulous landscapes or study the wildlife that always surrounds polar routes.

Dining on board Seabourn Venture revolves around The Restaurant and The Colonnade. The former is the main restaurant, open for breakfast and dinner and lunch if you are sailing. Elegant and with excellent service, it always offers a fixed proposal and a menu of the day, called precisely “Inspiration.” The Colonnade, on the other hand, is the buffet restaurant for breakfast and lunch, but converted to table service for dinner. Sometimes the evening menus have a themed proposal. You can also eat outside in the Patio Bar and Infinity Pool area.

Seabourn Venture‘s outdoor areas are numerous, designed to offer guests vantage points and places to enjoy sailing. The entire central area is occupied by Zodiacs, but aft many spaces have loungers and lounging areas. The Infinity Pool on Deck 6 has breathtaking views of the stern, and there are two other Jacuzzis in the area.

Fitness and Wellness are two other key words on board. Saunas overlooking the sea, a Beauty Salon and a range of treatments allow you to take care of yourself even on an Expedition cruise. The gym offers state-of-the-art machines and an aerobics room.

Onboard amenities also include a Meeting Room, The Studio (for computer use or photography lessons) and a Laundry. But on an Expedition ship an equally important place is the Landing Zone: this is where you store everything you need to land with the Zodiacs and stow your gear. Finally, the Submarine Garage houses one of the most intriguing options on board: two submarines ready to lower you into the depths of the places you visit.

Seabourn Cruise Line‘s new ship Expedition offers several categories of suites, all of which are strictly exterior and equipped with amenities such as a wardrobe, bathroom with bathtub, minibar, and living area with balcony. Already the Veranda Suites are more than satisfactory in size and with their warm and cozy furnishings are the ideal base for resting and relaxing while awaiting excursions. An extra touch is provided by the Infinity Suites, which offer a spectacular sea view thanks to a curved projecting window and a bathtub also with a sea view. More space is offered by the Penthouse Suites, with a large living room and separate bedroom. Finally, an even more exclusive experience is offered by the Owner’s Suites, only two on board, featuring a large terrace on the bow, bedroom and large living room.

Seabourn Venture represents an elegant and welcoming Expedition ship with many new features dedicated to the world’s most remote destinations but without forgetting the Seabourn style, offering services and features fully in line with the fleet. A chance to venture to even more remote parts of the world for guests loyal to the company but also an interesting additional reason to try this Luxury company for many other guests who love adventure and maximum comfort on board.
