Azamara Voyages: we discover Azamara Onward

Azamara Onward represents the fourth R-Class ship, which began offering cruises for the Azamara Voyages fleet in 2022.

Similar to the other R-Class ships in the Azamara Voyages fleet, Azamara Onward, formerly Pacific Princess, was purchased by the cruise line and began operations with Mediterranean cruises in 2022.

A sister ship of the others in the fleet, she has most of the ambiance and features of her predecessors, but also some new features. The on-board environment is very elegant, with rooms reminiscent of the elegant cruise style but with every comfort and amenities among the most modern.

Much of the shipboard facilities are located on decks 4 and 5, with a range of services, bars and lounges. The concierge and reception, located on Deck 4, occupy the area below the beautiful main lobby, which connects to the upper deck. The Cabaret Lounge forward has a large room on one level, and hosts excellent shows and entertainment.

The central area on Deck 5 itself, called The Den, offers on the one hand customer services such as the Future Cruise, Loyalty, the Photo Shop and the Excursion Office, and on the other hand the Spirits bar perfect for an evening aperitif or an after-dinner drink accompanied by piano melodies.

Continuing along the aft are the stores, the Onward Shop and Indulgencies and the busy Mosaic Café, specializing in small snacks and excellent coffee. A little further on is the Discoveries Bar, a great place to wait for your table at the adjacent Discoveries Restaurant with a good glass of wine. The main restaurant is open for all meals of the day, very elegant and bright, with careful miseen place and always curated dishes.

As many rooms available to guests are located on Deck 9. Forward is The Sanctum Spa, docked with a Fitness Center, Beauty Salon and the beautiful outdoor Sanctum Terrace, equipped with sunbeds and a large Jacuzzi. Also located here are two Club Spa Suites, spacious and among the finest available on board.

The central outdoor area is dedicated to the pool, with two hot tubs and space for sunbeds. The area is served by the Pool Bar, while in the area towards the stern is The Patio, open for lunch and in the afternoon, perfect for an informal meal or snack while enjoying a relaxing day by the pool. A sunbathing area is also located forward on Deck 11, in a particularly private and comfortable area.

Aft, the Windows Cafe is the bright and elegant buffet restaurant, with new offerings every day and specialties from the places visited during the itinerary. Beautiful, then, is the Sunset Veranda, where you can enjoy a wonderful view during the meal.

Finally, Deck 10 offers the two specialty restaurants, Prime C and Aqualina, both with beautiful windows overlooking the sea and an elegant and refined ambiance. Two unmissable stops during a cruise for a true gastronomic experience.

One of the new features of Azamara Onward compared to its sister ships is the Atlas Bar, furnished in colonial style, very cozy and perfect for an aperitif or cocktail in the evening. Now a symbol of Azamara ships, on the other hand, is the Living Room, a large space at the bow of the ship equipped with a dance floor, a bar, and various areas for relaxing with a good book or talking among friends.

Azamara Onward offers a wide range of accommodations on board, from inside cabins to Oceanview Clubs, from Verandas to multiple types of Suites. All enjoy excellent room service and completely renovated furnishings.

The style on board Azamara Voyages is informal and welcoming, with a range of attention from the crew that will make the vacation experience truly unforgettable. Much attention is also given to the itineraries, with long and exclusive stopovers, but also to the catering and entertainment on board. A truly interesting proposal with excellent value for money.
