Description
The MV Polar Pioneer was built in Finland in 1982 as a research vessel, perfect for sailing in the polar regions. Today it is an expedition cruise ship offering itineraries to discover some of the most remote places on Earth. On board, the refurbished bar/lounge area includes very comfortable seating, flat screen TVs for easy viewing of presentations and windows with views in three directions to admire the panorama while sailing. All the cabins have been refurbished with Scandinavian style in mind and with special attention to small details.
Polar Pioneer operates through the lens of environmental sustainability and prioritizes immersive polar experiences with greater operational flexibility including extended tours, more sites being reached and the option of early morning or evening port calls.
