Hondius

Hondius is the world's first registered Polar Class 6 ship, capable of meeting Lloyd's Register's latest and highest standards for cruise ships sailing through ice. The Hondius features a cruising style with the most direct contact with the places visited, mainly the Arctic and Antarctic, but also provides an extremely comfortable environment with great attention paid to service.
Oceanwide Expeditions' new ship has been designed with the highest respect for the environment: it uses LED lighting, steam heating, biodegradable paints and lubricants and state-of-the-art power management systems that keep fuel consumption and CO2 levels to a minimum.
