Description

The private residence yacht Njord was designed by a team of engineers, naval architects, and interior and exterior designers, including legendary superyacht designer Espen Øino, who signed off on the project's exterior, and naval architect Foreship OY. ORD's chief designer Jean Stutzman will oversee the interior design, which will be created by Jean-Michel Gathy of Malaysian design firm Denniston and Italian design firm FM Architettura. Both firms will be responsible for designing the ship's finest private apartments and penthouses. Njord will boast multiple outdoor terraces, a sun deck, two outdoor pools, an indoor hydro pool, a gym, spa, yoga and meditation platform, personalized sports concierge, disco and jazz room. A lounge equipped with a telescope is located on the upper deck.
Njord with 12 decks, has a width of 33.5 meters and a length of 289 meters. Onboard accommodations are divided into 118 apartments, available for purchase, as well as 16 guest and butler suites. Available in 20 different configurations, these apartments range from two to six bedrooms. Other amenities include six restaurants and bars, a golf simulator, a billiards room, an outdoor movie screen, a gourmet market, stores and a culinary studio. In addition, there will be two helicopters, two submarines, a fleet of 10 Zodiacs, two dive and fishing boats and four limousine-style tenders for ship-to-shore transfers. Built to the most "stringent" environmental regulations, it features "state-of-the-art dual-fuel engines," batteries for hybrid operation, heat recovery systems and advanced power management systems. The engines and fuel tanks will also be suitable for future fuels. It also features a professional oceanographic research laboratory that will help scientific, oceanographic and expert research to support urgent climate and social causes.
