Description
The PS Emmylou is one of Australia's most recognizable and iconic Paddlesteamers, sailing on the Murray River from Echuca, just a 2.5-hour drive from Melbourne. It is named after the American country singer Emmylou Harris. Powered by a 1906 Marshall and Sons steam engine, Emmylou is now the only wood-fired Paddlesteamer in the world. Emmylou has recently been relaunched as Australia's most luxurious river cruise after its cabins were refurbished to a luxury standard with private bathrooms, including the new Emmylou Suite. On the main deck, there is the Saloon which features both indoor and outdoor dining areas with a bar.
