Description

The National Geographic Orion was built in 2013 and sailed as the Sun Explorer for Sun Bay Cruises in Germany, but it was delivered to Orion Expedition Cruises as the Orion in 2014. The ship was later given its current name the National Geographic Orion.
Designed for 102 passengers in 51 cabins, the National Geographic Orion is equipped with the latest technologies including stabilizers, sonar and radar. In addition to the Russian Arctic and the Antarctic, the ship also spends time in the South Seas.
