Description
A prototype of the first class of post-panamax ships built for Holland America Line, the Koningsdam was designed according to the SOLAS Safe Return to Port regulations. It is not a revolutionary ship compared to the other ships in the fleet, but it has a very colourful design created by Adam Tihany: the aim was to modernise the Holland America product by giving the ship a more modern look. The World Stage theatre is superlative, with state-of-the-art special effects. It has a covered central lido so it is very suitable for cold climates.
