The Crystal Ship was refurbished in 2007, but it had been built in 1982 under the name MS "Donau". It has a length of 78.5 metres and a width of 11 metres and can accommodate up to 600 passengers.
The inspiration for the interior is based on the myth of the nymph Isa, which has been retold in the Bavarian-Austrian region around the Danube. The collaboration with the world-renowned crystal manufacturer Swarovski has opened up some totally new perspectives in design and construction. All the crystal components on board come from Swarovski and create an atmosphere of luxury and glamour.
