Silver Ray: The second unit of the Nova class is coming

After experiencing the exclusivity and innovation of the Nova project, the time has come to discover Silver Ray, the second unit of Silversea Cruises‘ acclaimed new class.

The company’s philosophy extends to these larger ships without any compromise on livability and service quality, enhancing the experience with a greater value through the selection of restaurants, marvelous outdoor spaces, and spacious common areas, which are particularly elegant and welcoming. It’s a unique experience offered aboard a state-of-the-art ship that has introduced significant innovations not only in passenger services but also as a profound advancement in the cruise industry.

The protagonists of this new unit, currently in the final construction phase at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, will not only be exclusive suites, top-notch gastronomy, and five-star service, but also environmental consideration. Silver Ray will indeed be the second ship in the fleet with hybrid LNG + electric propulsion.

Featuring an asymmetric and horizontal layout, Silver Ray will have decks dedicated solely to cabins and others solely to public areas, with expansive outdoor spaces allowing for a deeper connection to the sea, further enhancing the already exclusive cruise experience.

With 13 suite categories, Silver Ray’s suites will offer solutions to satisfy all guests’ needs. The cabins will have a minimum area of 33 square meters, with the largest and most exclusive being the two Otium Suites, located aft on decks 6 and 7. These suites will offer spectacular 270° panoramic views, a separate bedroom, living area, and dining area, as well as a large balcony of over 40 square meters. Additionally, all suites will feature sea views and a personal butler.

Regarding dining, Silver Ray will offer eight dining options, including the S.A.L.T. Kitchen with a menu inspired by both the itinerary and the destination of the day, the elegant Silver Note for intimate dinners with live musical accompaniment, the international Atlantide, the casual The Grill and Spaccanapoli pizzeria housed within the dramatic Marquee, La Terrazza Italian restaurant, the Kaesiki sushi bar, and the refined French restaurant La Dame.

All of this will be accompanied by Silversea’s distinctive offering, a luxury All-Inclusive package that includes not only the cruise fare but also beverages including a variety of fine wines and champagnes, service charges, Wi-Fi connection, all restaurants – except Kaesiki in the evening and La Dame – and excursions.

Silver Ray’s first cruise is scheduled for June 15, 2024, with a positioning voyage from Lisbon to Barcelona, stopping along the entire Iberian Peninsula and the Canary Islands. After the inaugural voyage, the ship will spend its inaugural season in Europe, offering a variety of itineraries visiting destinations such as Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, and Valencia in Spain; Monaco; Livorno (Florence/Pisa) Italy; and St. Tropez in France, among others.
