NCL announces new “Experiences at Sea” division


Norwegian Cruise Line announces “Experiences at Sea,” the new division formed by the merger of Sixthman Festivals at Sea, a subsidiary of NCL, and the Company’s CM&I division, which will host 13 consecutive events in the spring of 2023 providing unique and engaging adventures at sea.

The company’s CM&I team has already been recognized for creating customized experiences for its customers by winning both the Prevue Visionary and Northstar Stella Awards for “Best Events and Meetings at Sea” for 2022.

From wrestling to nurses, comedic influencers to the LGTBQIA+ community and music, Norwegian Pearl will host this record-breaking number of back-to-back themed cruises from Jan. 20 to March 27, 2023 that will sail from Miami to several Caribbean islands, including the company’s private destinations of Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas and Harvest Cay in Belize. The 13 planned cruises are:

Cruise Perfect with the Dude Perfect for a cruise full of action, tricks, challenges and fun. The Rock Boat XXII with Sister Hazel and over 30 acts from Need to Breathe, Neon Trees, American Authors, Lit.

On the Blue featuring Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues. Rock N Wrestling Rager at Sea by Chris Jericho with the perfect blend of rock and world-class wrestling.

Nursecon at Sea where the Ultimate Nursing Conference created by Nurse Blake will provide participants with the perfect balance of vacation, entertainment, fun with professional learning and networking.

Cayamo 15 where guests will celebrate the 15th anniversary of this American journey through music with more than 40 artists, including Jeff Tweedy, Andrew Bird, Trampled by Turtles, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Patty Griffin, Neko Case, Shovels & Rope and many more.

Sail Across the Sun with guests iTrain and performances by more than 20 artists including Fitz and the Tantrums, G. Love & Special, plus comedy by Nick Swardson, wine tastings and more.

Outlaw Country Cruise 7 with performances by more than 40 artists, including one-off collaborations with The Mavericks, John Anderson, Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle and The Dukes. The Friendship with All My Friends and Gary Richards, featuring a lineup of artists and a program of events for fans of electric dance music (EDM).

The Beach Boys Cruise with The Beach Boys and performances by The Isley Brothers, The Temptations, The Righteous Brothers, Mark McGrath and many others. 311 Caribbean Cruise 7 with performances by Arrested Development, G. Love & Special Sauce, Less Than Jake as well as performances by comedians yet to be announced.

Keeping the Blues Alive at Sea VIII where Joe Bonamassa will offer a celebration of the blues with more than 20 artists, featuring Little Feat, Dion, Bobby Rush, Robert Randolph Band and others. Atlantis for a light-hearted experience for the gay community based on friendship, relaxation, indulgence, adventure and pure fun.

Finally, there will also be a themed cruise on Norwegian Gem, “The Broadway Cruise” where guests can immerse themselves in the world of Broadway with special performances by Tony-Award winners Laura Benanti, Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming and more.

In addition, “Experiences at Sea” is partnering with Infinity Sports & Events to offer a series of one- to 10-night vacation packages to Rugby World Cup matches between Sept. 8, 2023 and Oct. 16, 2023 aboard NCL’s award-winning ship, Norwegian Epic.
