Miray Cruises Presents “Dive Around the World”


Miray Cruises, known for its long voyages around the world and the innovative cruise concept promoted by Life at Sea Cruises, has announced an unprecedented initiative for its upcoming three-year global cruise.

In collaboration with The Dive Place in Clermont, Florida, and Scuba Diving International (SDI), Miray Cruises will offer an exclusive program called ‘Dive Around the World’, providing passengers with unparalleled opportunities for underwater exploration and environmental conservation.

Passengers embarking on the extraordinary three-year journey aboard MV LARA will have the unique privilege to dive in various locations around the world while actively engaging in sea cleanup operations, coral restoration initiatives, and other sustainability projects. Through their partnership with SDI, Life at Sea passengers will embark on a unique underwater journey, gaining access to exceptional underwater experiences.

Kendra Holmes, CEO of Miray Cruises, who brings over two decades of underwater experience and teaching to this venture, believes that this partnership underscores Miray Cruises’ commitment to responsible travel, adventure, and environmental conservation.

Scuba Diving International (SDI) is a renowned scuba training and certification agency, representing the recreational diving sector of International Training. International Training is also well known as the world’s largest technical scuba training organization through SDI’s twin brand, Technical Diving International (TDI). The newly established ‘The Dive Place at Sea’, in collaboration with SDI, will coordinate with affiliated dive centers worldwide, ensuring that Life at Sea divers participate in safe, exceptional, and unforgettable experiences.

Destinations of this exciting underwater expedition include:

Roatan, Honduras, for thrilling encounters with whale sharks.

Koror and Helen Reef in Palau, famous for diving World War II wrecks and the enchanting world of jellyfish.

Bora Bora, Tahiti, where crystal-clear waters abound with vibrant coral reefs, sharks, and mantas.

Reykjavik, Iceland, offers drysuit diving to explore the Silfra fissure and the opportunity to plunge between tectonic plates.

The Dive Place at Sea will provide advanced and specialized certifications for experienced divers, while beginners can start their journey with discover scuba and open water certifications. Rental equipment for both diving and snorkeling will be available, ensuring that all passengers have access to essential gear for their aquatic adventures.

Miray Cruises, with nearly two decades of experience in passenger ship management, has recently embarked on this new adventure known as Life at Sea Cruises. It’s the world’s first and only three-year cruise, set to depart in November 2023. The inaugural cruise, scheduled to depart from Istanbul, will cover over 130,000 miles, visiting 382 ports in 148 countries and all seven continents.
