Margaritaville at Sea is significantly expanding its Casino Players Club from October 1, 2026, adding a new range of benefits for Gold and Platinum members that extend well beyond traditional gaming rewards.
Complimentary Wi-Fi, personalized welcome amenities, dedicated VIP host service, laundry, room service and even an additional stateroom for selected top-tier players are among the new benefits, reinforcing the role of casino loyalty as an increasingly important part of the cruise line’s broader guest-retention strategy. The enhanced program is already available for booking on eligible sailings beginning October 1 and builds on the four-tier structure introduced in 2025, with Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum levels determined by cumulative casino play. Margaritaville at Sea currently sets Silver status at 1,000 tier points, Gold at 7,500 and Platinum at 15,000, while Bronze membership begins immediately upon joining.

The most substantial changes are concentrated at the upper end of the program. Gold members will now receive a personalized welcome gift in their stateroom and complimentary Basic Wi-Fi, covering messaging, web browsing, social media and audio calling. Platinum members receive the same personalized arrival benefit but with a Premium Wi-Fi package that adds supported video and music streaming. At Platinum level, the program also introduces a personal VIP host able to assist with cruise bookings, onboard reservations, casino requests and other eligible services. Perhaps the most distinctive new benefit is the “Sail with Friends” reward for Platinum members. Eligible players can receive an additional complimentary stateroom, up to an Oceanview category, for two guests travelling on the same cruise. Taxes, fees, gratuities and other applicable charges may still apply, but the benefit considerably extends the value of top-tier casino status beyond the player’s own accommodation. Platinum members will additionally receive complimentary laundry and room service for themselves and one guest in the same stateroom, as well as access to an annual Platinum Players dinner or special event.
These additions are notable because they move the Casino Players Club further away from being simply a gaming rewards scheme. The benefits now touch several parts of the cruise experience, from connectivity and dining to accommodation, priority services and hospitality. In practical terms, Margaritaville at Sea is using casino activity to build a broader loyalty relationship with high-value guests, rewarding them both while they are playing and during the rest of their vacation. That approach was already visible in the existing structure of the program. All four levels can receive complimentary drinks while actively playing, free-play offers and complimentary or discounted cruise offers based on rated casino activity. Silver, Gold and Platinum members also qualify for credits that can be used for shore excursions, spa treatments and arcade activities, with the amounts increasing according to tier: up to $25 at Silver, $50 at Gold and $100 at Platinum for each of these categories.

Food and beverage benefits become increasingly substantial as members progress through the program. Silver guests receive a complimentary unlimited soda package, while Gold and Platinum players receive the Ultimate Beverage Chill Package. Gold members also qualify for one complimentary specialty dining experience, while Platinum members receive the Prime Dining Package, currently covering eligible specialty restaurants including JWB Prime Steakhouse, Far Side Sushi and Sparkling Brunch. The package benefits apply to the player and one guest staying in the same stateroom. Gold and Platinum status also brings VIP check-in and disembarkation where available, together with priority theater seating. Silver and above can receive complimentary cruise fares for the player and up to three guests sharing the same stateroom, although taxes, fees, gratuities and other charges remain applicable and individual cruise offers remain subject to the program’s conditions. Margaritaville at Sea explicitly notes that some complimentary or discounted cruise offers depend on rated casino play rather than tier status alone.
Another important element of the strategy is the Casino Offer Match program. Instead of requiring an experienced casino customer to begin again at entry level, Margaritaville at Sea allows qualifying players to submit existing offers from other cruise lines or land-based casinos for consideration. The company promotes the system as a way to access complimentary or discounted cabins and potential VIP tier upgrades, effectively using competitors’ existing loyalty relationships as an acquisition tool. This could prove particularly useful for a cruise brand still expanding its customer base. Casino players tend to represent a segment in which loyalty programs can strongly influence purchasing decisions, and asking established players to abandon accumulated status or recognized value can create a significant barrier to switching brands. Offer matching reduces that barrier by allowing Margaritaville at Sea to recognize a guest’s previous gaming activity from the outset, rather than waiting for several cruises before the relationship becomes rewarding.

“Whether someone has been playing with us for years or is considering Margaritaville at Sea for the first time, we want them to feel recognized and rewarded,” said David Gromak, Vice President and Head of Gaming at Margaritaville at Sea. He noted that the Offer Match initiative is designed to make it easier for established casino players to try the brand, while the expanded Gold and Platinum benefits provide additional value both inside and outside the casino. The program is also supported by a substantial calendar of casino-specific events. Margaritaville at Sea is promoting what it describes as a million-dollar prize pool across its 2026 casino calendar, with tournaments, giveaways and special events scheduled throughout the year. These include slot competitions and larger finale events, giving Players Club members another reason to select particular departures rather than simply choosing a cruise based on itinerary or price.
From a wider industry perspective, the revised Players Club illustrates how cruise casino programs are evolving into much more sophisticated commercial tools. The casino remains the mechanism through which status is earned, but the rewards increasingly resemble those traditionally associated with premium hotel or cruise loyalty programs. Wi-Fi, dining, accommodation, priority services and personalized assistance all create reasons for guests to remain within the same brand ecosystem even when they are not actively gaming. For Margaritaville at Sea, this strategy is particularly interesting because the company competes in a market where differentiation depends not only on itinerary and onboard entertainment but also on creating reasons for repeat guests to return. A complimentary additional cabin can encourage players to introduce friends or relatives to the brand, while dining, beverage and spa benefits extend the perceived value of casino status across the entire ship.

The addition of a personal host at Platinum level pushes the proposition further toward individualized hospitality. Rather than treating the highest-value casino players purely as gaming customers, Margaritaville at Sea is effectively recognizing them as VIP cruise guests whose relationship with the company extends to reservations, accommodation, entertainment and onboard service. There are, naturally, conditions behind many of the headline benefits. Margaritaville at Sea specifies that complimentary or discounted cruises, free-play offers and certain promotions depend on rated casino activity and remain at the company’s discretion. Package benefits such as drinks, dining, laundry and room service generally cover the player plus one guest in the same cabin, while the additional Platinum Oceanview stateroom remains subject to availability and booking restrictions. Nevertheless, the October 2026 changes represent a meaningful expansion of the Casino Players Club. The progression from complimentary drinks and casino free play to Wi-Fi, additional accommodation and dedicated VIP service shows how far gaming loyalty has moved into the wider cruise product. Combined with the Casino Offer Match program, Margaritaville at Sea is clearly using casino rewards not only to retain existing players, but also to attract experienced guests from competing cruise lines and land-based casinos.
For a relatively young cruise brand seeking to build repeat business, that combination of acquisition and retention could be particularly valuable. The casino may remain the starting point, but from October the strongest benefits increasingly extend throughout the vacation, turning the Players Club into a broader loyalty proposition rather than simply a collection of gaming perks.
