A-Rosa reintroduces its swimming lessons program

Following the success of its inaugural program last year, A-Rosa River Cruises will once again offer swimming lessons for children on board A-Rosa Sena, solidifying its position as the only river cruise company to provide swimming lessons. The company continues its collaboration with the Wasserlust Swimming School.

There will be three available departures for 2024: July 27, August 3, and August 10, 2024. The lessons cater to both beginners and more experienced children with an intermediate course. Additionally, a new advanced course has been added for swimmers eager to enhance their endurance and technique, while also teaching fundamental water safety rules to ensure participants understand how to keep themselves and those around them safe.

For children approaching swimming for the first time, the goal is to build confidence in the water and learn basic techniques. The program allows a maximum of 6 participants per course, with a total of 6 lessons per cruise lasting 30 minutes each.

For children already proficient in basic swimming techniques, the aim is to improve skills, techniques, and endurance. The program accommodates a maximum of 4 participants per course, with a total of 6 lessons per cruise lasting 40 minutes each.

Lastly, for children with officially recognized initial swimming qualifications who wish to progress to the next level, the courses focus on refining swimming techniques and endurance, in addition to imparting common water safety guidelines. Similar to the intermediate level, a maximum of 4 participants per course is allowed, with a total of 6 swimming lessons per cruise lasting 40 minutes each. Each course costs 149 euros per child.

All lessons will be conducted by a qualified swimming instructor from the Wasserlust Swimming School, who will provide all children with a certificate of participation but not an officially recognized swimming qualification. The sessions will take place in the A-Rosa Sena‘s pool located in the expansive sun deck. Since the number of participants per swimming course is limited, it is advisable to register before the cruise begins.
